About Me
Denise Pittman is a seasoned financial and operations professional with over 44 years of experience as CFO for a Ford/Lincoln dealership. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in managing human resources, accounting, and business operations, contributing to the successful expansion of the dealership to a second location with 125 employees. Her expertise extends beyond corporate finance, as she also managed the personal and financial affairs of the dealership’s owners and served as the business manager for a national recording artist from 2008 to 2014, handling bookings, logistics, and accounting.
Her passion for nonprofit work deepened in 2019 when she became involved with Songs of Survivors, an organization founded by her close friend David St. Romain to support veterans through music therapy. As Executive Director, she helped grow the nonprofit by managing operations and facilitating virtual meetings, further strengthening her commitment to community-driven initiatives.
Denise has been a lifelong advocate for animal rescue, caring for numerous pets and actively participating in TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts. While living in Baton Rouge, she dedicated herself to feeding and caring for feral cats, ensuring they had shelter and access to veterinary care. One particularly timid cat took two years to trust her before finally becoming a cherished companion for 18 years.
Her introduction to A HOPE came through family, and she immediately felt drawn to its mission. Now serving on the Board of Directors, Denise brings decades of leadership experience, financial expertise, and a deep passion for animal welfare. She is excited to support A HOPE’s efforts in expanding access to affordable spay/neuter services and making a lasting impact in the community.
