Gretchen Pearson, DVM
Lead Veterinarian
About Me
Dr. Gretchen Pearson, DVM, brings over two decades of veterinary practice and hospital ownership to her role as a board member with A HOPE. With a steadfast dedication to total-wellness care, she skillfully integrates traditional medicine with holistic therapies—ranging from acupuncture and laser treatments to herbal nutrition and stem-cell therapy.
Dr. Pearson holds her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and maintains licensure across multiple states including Texas, Florida, New York, and Minnesota. She couples this formal education with advanced training in integrative and preventive medicine.
Her commitment to animal welfare extends beyond the clinic: she has volunteered with global initiatives, mentored aspiring veterinary professionals, and dedicated her career to increasing access to compassionate, high-quality care for pets and their families.
A HOPE’s mission “to educate our community on responsible ownership of companion animals and proper care for community cats by providing access to affordable sterilization/vaccine services, rescue support and community outreach programs, leading to the prevention of unnecessary euthanasia” resonates deeply with Dr. Pearson. Her focus on preventive wellness, client education, and extending care to underserved animals aligns seamlessly with the organization’s goal of reducing unnecessary euthanasia and promoting lifelong pet health.
Among her key strengths, Dr. Pearson is an experienced clinician and hospital leader, adept at crafting personalized care plans, educating pet owners, and advocating for holistic pet wellness—skills which strengthen A HOPE’s capacity to deliver accessible services and outreach.
Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Pearson is passionate about the human-animal bond, preventive wellness strategies, and increasing awareness of alternative therapies for companion animals. She is a dedicated mentor, reader, and lifelong advocate for pets and their families.
Dr. Pearson is honored to serve on the Board of A HOPE and is eager to contribute her clinical expertise, holistic vision, and advocacy to further the organization’s mission. She looks forward to supporting efforts that expand affordable care, enhance community outreach, and ensure every companion animal and community cat receives the compassion and dignity they deserve.
