RESCUES

Always Adopt

There are some great animal rescues in our area - many are right here in Santa Rosa County! If you find yourself wanting to add to your family, please always adopt. There are countless animals in our community whose only dream is to have their very own forever family. All they want is food, clean water, a comfy bed, and someone to love them forever - no matter what.

Thoughts About Rehoming

While we do not condone the re-homing of family pets - because they are part of the family - we understand that on rare occasions it absolutely must be done. If there's a death in the family, for instance, and you need a loving home for a cat or dog, there are wonderful resources available within the rescue community. We highly advise you contact a local rescue for assistance in this procedure to ensure the safety of your pet. Rescues have adoption applications, know how to do vet checks, and can also assist you in doing home visits to make sure your beloved pet will go to a wonderful home.

Another option for re-homing your family pet is available through AdoptAPet.com. Please click on the image below for more information. This allows you, as the pet owner, to take control of the pet re-homing process.
