We’re So Close – But We Need You

Writer: Brandi WinklemanBrandi Winkleman

Seven years. A million dollars. Countless hours of hard work, passion, and determination.

This clinic has been built with love—by volunteers, by donors, by a community that believes in a better future for animals. And now, we are standing at the finish line, so close to opening our doors.

But the reality? We can’t open yet.

Even though the building is standing, the equipment is in place, and our team is ready to serve, there are still critical infrastructure pieces that must be completed before we can legally open and start saving lives.

These aren’t luxuries. They aren’t optional. They are the final, required steps we must take to get our occupancy permit—the last official approval we need before we can start providing low-cost spay/neuter and wellness services to our community.

What We Still Need to Finish

Driveway and parking lot – $100,000

Septic system installation – $20,000

Drainage, retention pond, and sod – $49,500

Final closeout requirements – $16,000

Until these are completed, our doors must remain closed.

They aren’t optional.

Why This Matters Right Now

Kitten season is coming.

That means thousands of fragile, newborn kittens will soon flood our shelters and rescues, many of them born because their mothers didn’t have access to affordable spay services in time. The heartbreaking truth? Most of these kittens won’t survive.

For years, we’ve worked to prevent this. We’ve driven van loads of animals over 100 miles away every other week to get them spayed and neutered because there was no local option. We’ve done everything in our power to stop the cycle of suffering.

This clinic is the solution. It will allow us to provide affordable, local, and accessible spay/neuter services to our community—giving people the power to prevent unwanted litters, reduce euthanasia rates, and improve the lives of pets and their families.

But right now, it’s just a building. We need your help to turn it into a lifesaving force.

We’re Asking for Big Help from Big Hearts

Our community has already given so much. So many of you have supported, shared, and believed in this mission from the very beginning. We see you. We appreciate you. And now, we need you one last time.

Can you help us finish this? Here’s how:

  • Donate – Every dollar brings us closer to opening.

  • Host a Fundraiser – Turn your birthday, girls’ night, or work event into something bigger.

  • Round Up at Checkout – Business owners, will you allow customers to round up their total to support A HOPE?

  • Connect Us with Grantors & Sponsors – Do you know a company or foundation that helps nonprofits? Introduce us!

  • Invite Us to Speak – We’d love to share our mission at your workplace, club, or organization.

This clinic has taken seven years to build. We are so close. We just need these final pieces to fall into place.

So we’re asking—if you’ve ever believed in this mission, if you want to see fewer homeless pets suffering, if you want to make a real, lasting impact in your community… now is the time.

Let’s finish this together.

💙 Donate. Share. Help us open these doors. 💙

We're hard at work building a facility that serves our community and makes a massive impact. Drop a message in the comments to encourage our team to stay strong and see this through. This is the hardest part for all of us. 💙
