rehome

my pet

While we do not condone the re-homing of family pets - because they are part of the family - we understand that on rare occasions it absolutely must be done. If there's a death in the family, for instance, and you need a loving home for a cat or dog, there are wonderful resources available within the rescue community. We highly advise you contact a local rescue for assistance in this procedure to ensure the safety of your pet. Rescues have adoption applications, know how to do vet checks, and can also assist you in doing home visits to make sure your beloved pet will go to a wonderful home.

Two additional options for re-homing your family pet are through Adopt-A-Pet.com & The Petco Foundation and Home To Home™. Both of these resources allow you, as the pet owner, to take control of the pet re-homing process.
